Illinois HOSA- Future Health Professionals is dedicated to enhancing the delivery of quality, compassionate healthcare by providing opportunities for career and technical education knowledge as well as leadership development for the secondary, post-secondary, and collegiate level of student’s whose career interest is health science technology. Illinois HOSA is 100% healthcare.
Illinois HOSA-Future Health Professionals vision is to adequately prepare healthcare workers for the 21st century. Through adequate preparation, the acute shortage of qualified healthcare workers in the healthcare industry will be decreased.
Illinois HOSA would like to invite all members to join us at our in-person State Leadership Conference 2023. The Conference will be held the week of March 1-3rd at the BOS Conference Center in Springfield, Illinois. More information will be shared to advisors via email. Members are encouraged to follow our instagram (@hosa.illinois) account to stay up to date with Conference updates.
Members from all around the state, both Secondary and Postsecondary/Collegiate, gather to take full advantage of HOSA’s Competitive Events Program. Typically held in the spring, the State Leadership Conference incorporates not only Competitive Events but Recognition Events too. Elections for the new State Executive Council are also held, and multiple scholarships are distributed. Members are also given the opportunity to network with one another and few exhibitors. They also listen in on an enlightening guest speaker and participate in entertaining down time activities. On the final day of the conference, awards are distributed to the top 10 participants of each event, however only the top 3 finalist advance to the International Leadership Conference, and the new executive council is sworn into service

Illinois became a charter state for HOSA-FHP at the 1st National Leadership Conference in April, 1978.
HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions. HOSA is 100% health care!
